Your Liver Can Heal, And You Are Not Alone

Tall trees line a winding road in a forest.

What Is Fatty Liver Disease?

Fatty liver disease happens when extra fat builds up inside the liver. Over time, this fat can cause inflammation, scarring, and liver damage.

You may hear different names:

- Fatty Liver Disease

- MASH (metabolic dysfunction–associated steatohepatitis)

- Fibrosis

- Cirrhosis

These are stages of the same condition, not separate diseases.

Did you know?
1 in 4 adults has fatty liver disease, but most don’t know it yet.

Why This Happens

Fatty liver is not just about weight.

It is linked to:

- Blood sugar and insulin resistance

- Inflammation

- Gut health

- Hormones

- Genetics

- Metabolism

Many people eat well, exercise, and still develop liver disease.

This is not a personal failure.
It is a medical condition, and it deserves real answers.

CAN LIVER HEALTH IMPROVE?

Yes, Improvement Is Possible

The liver is one of the most resilient organs in the body.

Many people can:

- Reduce liver fat

- Improve inflammation

- Slow or stop scarring

- Improve liver-related lab results

Even with fibrosis or early cirrhosis, progression can often be slowed with proper care and monitoring.

Earlier action gives you more options.

FAQs

Answers to Your Health and Wellness Questions.

What should I expect on my first visit to AXIS Integrative Health?

You'll receive a health evaluation to review your medical history, current symptoms, and goals. We’ll also perform a liver scan and blood tests to help us create a personalized health plan tailored to you.

Do you accept insurance?

There’s no cost for a liver test — no insurance required.
If you're interested in seeing our functional medicine team outside the free liver test, talk to your liver specialist.

Are there natural treatments available for fatty liver disease or cirrhosis?

For fatty liver disease, early stages can often be improved through weight loss, healthy eating, and lifestyle changes. However, if you've progressed to Stage III NASH, lifestyle alone may not be enough, and medication is often used temporarily alongside other therapies.

Cirrhosis can’t be reversed naturally, but new clinical trial treatments are showing promise in helping to slow, stop, or even reverse liver damage in some patients.

How often should I attend sessions for the best results?

For the first 2-3 months, we recommend a coaching call every two weeks. You’ll also receive weekly texts and monthly healthy habits challenges — all designed to help you transform your mindset and build lasting lifestyle changes.

Can I integrate these treatments with my current medical care

Yes. We offer multiple care options and clinical trials for fatty liver disease and cirrhosis, and we’ll help match you with the best option. In most cases, you can continue your current medications. If any changes are needed, we’ll coordinate directly with your doctor to ensure your treatment plan stays safe and effective.
Your health and continuity of care are always our top priority.

How soon will I start seeing health improvements?

Many participants begin noticing changes within the first 2 months. You may lose up to 10 pounds, often from reduced inflammation. Most report less pain, more energy, and improved well-being.

Most importantly, you’ll start becoming a different version of yourself; more disciplined, motivated, and in control of your health.
